A Perth Solar Team That Explains Before It Sells

We started Sunroof Solar because too many homeowners signed for systems they did not understand. Our job is to make the decision clear.

Sunroof Solar designs and installs solar panels, home batteries and EV chargers for Perth households. We started the business because we kept meeting homeowners who had signed for a system they did not understand, sized for a sales target rather than their home.

Our job is to make the decision clear: what to install, what to leave off, and what it will and will not do.

Our Story

Sunroof Solar is a Perth business built around one idea: a solar decision should be made with the facts in front of you. Too many households are handed a package and a deadline. We would rather hand you a design, the reasoning behind it and the time to check it.

That is why every proposal is written, why we show the assumptions behind any estimate, and why we are happy to tell you when a smaller system, or no battery, is the better answer for your home.

02

What We Believe

  • Explain before we sell.Every proposal includes the reasoning behind the design, the product data sheets and the assumptions behind any estimate. You should be able to check our work.
  • Promise only what a system can do.We do not guarantee savings, because tariffs and habits change. We do not promise to back up a whole house, because backup depends on inverter output and switchboard wiring, not battery size alone. We confirm in writing what your system will power in an outage.
  • Size for your home, not the rebate.Bigger is not always better. If a smaller system or no battery is the right answer, we will say so.
  • No pressure. No same-day deadlines, no door-knocking, no expiring discounts. A good design will still be a good design next week.

Not Sure What Suits Your Home?

Send a recent bill and we will come back with a written recommendation, including when solar and a battery do not make sense.

04

Who Will Design and Install Your System

Your proposal names the designer and the installer who will work on your home, along with their accreditation details, so you know exactly who will be on your roof. You can check either of them at any time with the accreditation status check above.

05

How We Choose Products

We only install equipment on the Clean Energy Council approved lists, and we prefer manufacturers with a local office or a clear warranty process in WA. We look at data sheets and warranty terms, not marketing labels. When we recommend a product, we tell you why, and what the alternative would be.

Warranties and Your Rights

Every system comes with the manufacturers' product warranties and our own workmanship warranty on installation, with its length written into your proposal. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of any warranty we provide.

If something goes wrong, contact us first. We will diagnose the issue and manage the manufacturer claim with you.

What You Can Hold Us To

These are the commitments we put in writing on every job:

  • A written design before you sign, with product data sheets and the reasoning behind the size
  • Every rebate listed separately, so you can see what is a discount and what is finance
  • Backup scope in writing for any battery, naming the circuits that stay on in an outage
  • Accreditation you can check, with the installer's name and accreditation number on your proposal
  • No pressure: no expiring offers and no deadline to decide
  • A clear handover: monitoring set up, compliance certificate and warranty documents in your hands
